Hard to find good Malaysian restaurants in Brisbane but this place was really good. The Char Kway Teow was really nice with that lovely smoky flavour. Reminded me of our many trips to Langkawi! Lacked a little bit of spice but a side of chilli fixed that. The Hainanese chicken was also very nice. And fresh. The Roti Kaya had that lovely pandan flavour and a great way to finish off. Service was casual, could be a little more attentive but it was a busy lunch period and they were all very polite when engaging. Ambience was lively and airy but the air conditioning roof vents could do with a serious clean and the choice of fabric on the back of the bench seating was not a good one unfortunately. Would definitely return, very generous servings and good value for money in a nice setting
Compared to other Malaysian restaurants, the flavours here are a bit lighter, which I actually really enjoyed. The Hainanese chicken was soft and tender, and the ginger sauce and special chilli sauce were neither too spicy nor too salty. The flavours were just right for me.
Outstanding - according to Malaysians! Authentic Malaysian food, and probably the best Horfun egg sauce I’ve ever had. Fried chicken could do without the batter, but so far every dish has been superb. They serve tiger draught, great Malaysian kopitiam drinks, and especially great was the barley water!!! Loved it!!!
Went here with my friend from Malaysia. According to him it was super authentic. I also loved the food. Served hot and fresh. Everything was super tasty. Would come again. And they serve decent portions to fair prices. My highlight: Char Kuey Teow
I've visited this place four times already, and one of those visits was with a Malaysian friend who also agreed that the food was delicious! The roti is a must-order, whether you prefer sweet or savory. You have to try the Roti Tissue at least once! (Though once is probably enough 😂 It's more for the presentation than anything.) Every time I think about their roti, I start craving it. I still haven't tried everything on the menu, which is a bit of a shame because my friend doesn't eat spicy food.
This chicken is delicious with sauce. The taste is sweet and sour and appetizing. The rice noodles are also very silky. The sauce of this crab is delicious, but it does not have much meat, but there are some crab yolks in it. If you consider the amount, it is not recommended to order. The most recommended dish is this chicken.
This is a great Malaysian resteraunt located in the city centre. As the name suggests, they serve mainly roti bread among other foods. The atmosphere here is also great.

My first visit here was with a colleague, and I didn't even bother to check it on Google Maps, as I remembered the name and planned to come back next time I was in town. When I searched up the place today, I was surprised at the reviews. Having been around, I would have assumed this place would be around 4.6-4.8 stars. The food is great (I love their roti) and the employees are all super helpful and cheery. As pilots we usually go to the same spots, and Roti Place has definitely become my "usual" spot when I fly to Brisbane.

We visited the well-known Roti Place in Brisbane today, and I have to say, the food is incredibly authentic! It perfectly captures the true essence of Southeast Asian street food and delivered a fantastic dining experience. The Ultimate Nasi Lemak: This plate of Nasi Lemak was absolutely flawless. The chicken curry was rich, intensely flavorful, and very tender. It was served with all the essential, classic components: crispy anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, a hard-boiled egg, fresh cucumber slices, and a large papadum. The absolute star was the generous dollop of sambal—mixing that spicy, fragrant paste with the rice was incredibly satisfying! Flavor-Packed Prawn Noodle Soup (Har Mee): The broth of this noodle soup had that beautiful, vibrant orange-red color, packed with the deep, umami-rich sweetness of authentic prawn stock and a great hint of spice. The bowl was generously loaded with plump peeled prawns, fresh water spinach (kangkong), hard-boiled egg, shredded chicken, and topped with a heavy sprinkle of crispy fried shallots.
